Why am I not receiving alerts?
We experienced a temporary outage with our backend server on January 18, 2021. It is fixed now, but some QuakeFeed users have experienced issues with receiving alerts since then.
In order to start receiving alerts again, all you need to do is save any change to your alert settings. This will reestablish your connection with the backend server.
The simplest way would be to either change an alert sound or to turn Nearby Alerts off and then back on. Step-by-step instructions for the second option are below.
- Tap the Alert Settings button (bottom left corner)
- Turn Nearby Alerts off
- Tap Done in the top right corner
- Tap the Alert Settings button again
- Turn Nearby Alerts back on
- Tap Done in the top right corner
